Fashion Week beauty guide

Ashley Benson- with behind the scenes pics at New York Fall Fashion Week.

Twitter and Instagram are abuzz with behind the scenes celebrity glamour and next year’s best looks. In the past, fashion week focused on the most innovative couture designs and the models that wore them. Today fashion week is just another venue for the most popular celebrities to be seen; fashion is almost an afterthought. Be that as it may, one cool side effect of this shift is a sense of getting close and personal with our favorite celebrities.
We love that celebrities are sharing their beauty regimens in real-time as they prepare for the red carpet and the mass of photographers that await their presence. Even male celebrities like P-Diddy have joined in the fun. Earlier this year he hosted a 4-hour Instagram tutorial on preparing for the Golden Globes. What was once considered something exclusively for women to indulge in has now gone completely mainstream and totally acceptable for everyone, even for the gentlemen.
It’s important to remember that as exciting as these posts may seem, most of them are nothing more than clever product placement by deep pocketed cosmetic brands. Yes, your favorite celebrity was probably paid to use that diamond crème. So, as much as all this buzz creates it’s important to put it into perspective. Celebrities are not likely to share their true, well-kept beauty secrets with the masses. The reason is two-fold:
1) If they share their true beauty recipes they risk appearing out of touch with the rest of us. Reason is that their beauty regimen typically pierces the thousand dollar threshold. A sum that most of us cannot afford.
2) The second reason is that celebrities work hard to keep us thinking that they do very little to stay fabulously beautiful. Giving us the impression that they were born with divine genes of beauty and therefore deserve to have the status they enjoy above all others.
See it’s all a rouse. And we’re buying it every day. Today we are going to dispel the falsities and share with you the real secrets of all those celebrities gracing the sidelines of this week’s fashion shows.

1- Oxygen Facials.
This is the celebrity go to right before any important event. Oxygen facials are always performed the day of an event since the treatment doesn’t make the skin red or induce swelling. But, the big advantage comes from the infusion of vitamins that leave the skin with a dewy fresh glow.
Oxygen machines are basically compressors that pull ambient airflow into the machine and convert it to pure oxygen. A nebulizer (similar to a spray gun) disperses oxygen and vital nutrients that result in immediate improvement in skin tone and texture. The long term benefits of oxygen treatments done on a regular basis are increased strength of collagen and elastins, banishing bacteria that causes acne and delivers rehydration that renews skin cells.

2- LED Light Therapy.
This technology was originally developed by the U.S. government for use in space. Years later the military applied LED therapy for speeding up healing from injury as a result of excessive fatigue and rigorous training. Today, its applications have evolved into one of the best kept secrets of celebrities beauty regimens. Here’s why. LED light penetrates into the skin to heal and reactivate collagen by stimulating blood flow to the epidermis.
Treatments require no downtime and no side effects. The results are like a trip in your very own time machine. Imagine a series of treatments that over time reduce wrinkles, even skin tone, fade scars and stretch marks. LED light therapy even speeds up healing and reduces pain post-surgery. It’s no wonder why celebrities frequently use LED therapy as another weapon against aging.

3- Micro Current Treatment.
More than a few famous celebrities have gone on record about the benefits of micro current. In fact, many own their own machines to ensure continuous access to a technology worth its wait in gold.
Micro current lifts the face as well as other body parts by stimulating the natural current of electricity that runs through all of us. Sounds weird? Let me explain. Put simply it increases muscle tone. At the cellular level micro current stimulates the production of APT, the process in which energy moves through the cells. Stimulating ATP allows micro current to target and tighten 32 different muscles in the face alone. The results are immediate and cumulative over a series of treatments. Then once peak results are achieved, monthly treatments maintain the effects.

There you have it. Oxygen, LED light and micro current. The trifecta of celebrity skin care. These three treatments are what make the stars shine on camera, but there are long-term benefits with consistent use, they repair the skin and slow down the aging process, giving today’s actors and models much longer careers. Not to mention being the envy of every aging American. These three treatments performed routinely pack a serious punch in terms of effectiveness, but don’t take my word for it- just watch this weeks Fall Fashion Week celebrity social posts.
