Skin Bar’s Got Someone New For You!

Skin Bar’s Team Elite would like to welcome and introduce the newest addition to our clinical team, Laser Hair Removal Specialist, Regina Pinkhasova. Some of you may have already met her. For those of you who have not; here is the low down on Regina and how she is going to make your experience a capital one!

Regina, (you can call her Gina) is truly an expert in laser hair removal. In her 8 years of experience she has performed over 100,000 successful treatments on every area of the body. She is a NY State licensed Esthetician and she also holds a NY State Certificate as an expert laser specialist with 600 hours of laser hair removal and electrolysis training. Gina has trained over 20 estheticians in the art of laser hair removal and has designed the training program used in other NYC spas that perform laser treatments. “I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others who have the same passion for client care,” explains Gina. “My specialty is managing clients with PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome. PCOS is a hormonal imbalance and requires a unique understanding of the condition to treat clients with laser successfully.” Gina adds, “When a client comes to me with a challenging set of circumstances that is when I really get excited about treatment and the use of my knowledge.”

We asked Gina to share a few pearls with our “Skinbers” and readers. Use these tips for optimal results and a comfortable experience.

Gina’s 3 tips for the best laser hair removal results:

1) Pick the right technology. The Cynosure Apogee Elite, is the best up to date machine on the market, the most effective and the most comfortable technology.
2) Get reliable results. With the Elite I have seen the most permanent reduction in the least period of time.
3) Find the right laser specialist. I truly value the relationship I form with my clients because it’s such an intimate procedure and the trust that’s formed is really important.

Gina’s 3 tips to remember before, during and after your laser hair removal treatment:

1) Make the treatment as comfortable as possible. Shave areas 24 hours prior to your session. Take an extra strength Tylenol 30-45 minutes before your session and the “ouch” factor gets cut in half.
2) Ladies, not getting the results you want? Boost effectiveness by scheduling your treatments one week after your period. Hair is in the growth phase so there should be more to laser.
3) Never pluck, tweeze or thread when you’re undergoing laser hair removal. These temporary hair removal methods remove the hair and the follicle. In order for laser hair removal to work the beam has to attack the follicle. Remember, we want to make you HAIR FREE not HAIREEE!

If are considering laser hair removal and have questions feel free to call Skin Bar NYC to book a complimentary evaluation with Gina. If you are currently having laser treatments at another spa and have questions regarding your sessions feel free to call us we would be happy to schedule time for you to meet Gina. Call Skin Bar anytime at, 212-889-1171.
