3 steps to perfect skin health
Hydrafacial is just what the name suggests. With its patented blend of vortex technology and hydrating skin solutions, the entire treatment is a lesson in hydration. A clear benefit to so many of our members who suffer from dryness and dehydration all year long.
Treatment begins with the usual cleanse you are accustomed to. After makeup, dirt, and debris are removed by your Skintician, the Hydrafacial is ready to go to work. The treatment is performed entirely with a handpiece similar to laser genesis, microcurrent, or diamonderm.
Step 1: Deep Cleanse and Exfoliation
The first step sets up the rest of the treatment for success. Activ-4 solution is delivered to the entire face with smooth brush strokes. This solution is packed with deep cleaning ingredients and active ingredients that immediately begin to exfoliate dead cells and loosen clogged pores. We perform 2 passes to ensure your face is saturated with Activ-4.
Step 2: Acid Peel
While the Activ-4 solution is quietly working its way into the skin, a Glycolic and Salicylic peel is applied on top. A peel is included in every Hydrafacial. At Skin Bar, we use professional grade concentrations for this peel. Adding a second beneficial form of exfoliation in a single service. Your Skintician may perform a test spot before application.
The peel should stay put for a few minutes to penetrate and maximize effectiveness. You may feel slight tingling or itchiness during this period. Your Skintician will check in with you to ensure your comfort.
Step 3: Vortex Extraction
So, now your about 20 minutes into your treatment. Professional grade skin solutions have been working to exfoliate and loosen dirt and grime. This step will lift all that gunk out.
To me, this is probably the most impressive feature of this device. With Hydrafacial you can say goodbye to pinching, pulling and squeezing to extract clogged pores and blackheads. Thanks to Vortex technology, a mini tornado resides inside the handpiece to gently removes blackheads with the same effectiveness as those performed by hand.
